I heard the news this afternoon and I was greatly saddened. I was always a fan of Mikes work and remember hearing about how he had been battling with the cancer but managed to keep the high ground for so long. I met Mike at Comic-Con a few years back at a Top Cow booth. I was in line to meet him and got to talk to him for a little bit. He did a sketch of Lara Croft for me and I will always remember how incredibly nice he was to every person that came in line to meet him.

It is sad to see someone so kind leave so young. He was a talented artist and was very lucky to have accomplished all the things he accomplished in his life. I'm sure all of his friends, family, and fans will miss him very much.

My condolences go out to the people who cared about him the most.

Rest In Peace Michael Turner. You will be missed.
